INDIGO (A poem by Kolade Bobo-Lawal)

Know the time to walk

Because a talk can cure the pain

Of a lifetime

Know the word to wield

Because a shield is stronger in steel

Than a sword

Know the seed to sow

Because genes grow

According to the brand of their breed

Know the law to live

Because to believe takes more

Than learning from past error

Know the key to life

Because to strive

Transcends earning a mere ticket of meal

Know the thing to know

Because what sets us above the low

Is our innate search of nothing for something

                                                                                                                        Skylark (Alauda arvensis)
